Fringe.

After finally catching up on Prison Break, finishing Heroes season 2, rejecting the Tudors after 5 minutes and one more week until the season premier of Grey's anatomy I needed something new to watch. I got my mind set on the new show Fringe. One of the men behind it is JJ Abrams from LOST so it felt promising. In the center of the series is the FBI-agent Olivia Dunham, the brilliant dr. Walter Bishop who spent the last 17 years in a mental institution and his son Peter Bishop with an IQ of 190 and a past that includes a lot behavoir balancing on the limit to froad. Dr. Bishops science is refered to as fringe science, pseudo-science and agent Dunham has to team up with him when she comes a cross a case that is something out of the usal.

After watching the double episode pilot and the second episode I have to say I like it. I like Olivia. And I think that the part of Peter Bishop really fits Joshua Jackson. Dr Walter is an interesting character in the edge in so many ways. There's of course a tension between Olivia and Peter, but very suttle so far since Oliva actually had a boyfriend in the pilot. I really like the Peter-Walter parts which are filled with a lot of different aspects. The lost father-son issue is of course of great importance, but also there's a great humour in the reactment between them. I'm looking forward to the next eposide on tuesday.
