Book worm.

I'm reading.

Sounds weird?? Haha yeah. Okay. I'm reading for pleasure, for fun, just enjoying it, standing-on-the-platform-waiting-for-the-train-hardly-looking-up-when-the-train-arrives-keep-my-nose-in-the-book-getting-on-the-train-reading. And it's been a long time since I read like this. I used to read all the time. I was kinda a late starter but when I did get started I really put my heart and soul in to it.

From the age of eight the library was for sure the place I visited the most. Carrying home huge piles of books. I loved walking down those isles. Considering what to choose next. In the library not all books had a front cover so I looked at the backs and the titles. What sounded interesting? Appeling? Quite soon the pile of four or five books that we usually checked out for the summer vacations were all read in one week. And with at least three weeks left to go my mum took me down to the library in the village of our summer house and signed me up there. I read everything I got my hands on. Loads of loads of Nancy Drew, the Narnia chronicles over and over, adventures, love stories and magical sagas.

In seventh grade I was a true book nerd. Me and my best friend spent every second of the breaks in school sitting next to eachother on a bench reading a book each. Of course this behavoir was not looked at in a good way by some people. There's always these guys I think. That just have to make trouble. In make case I think it really drove him crazy that I never cared. Maybe because I knew him from when he was younger and really nice. But anyway, he was a bully and I was a nerd. A nerd who didn't care about his opinion about it. The amazing adventures I experienced with my nose down my book was giving me so much joy!

When getting older the school literature takes over more and more. But after high school I got the job in a book store and it all came back. Books were basicly thrown in to my lap and I started reading again. The last years university has taken all the reading energy. But from time to time I pick up a book and just read for pleasure. Just throwing myself in to it. Bringing back that 13-year nerdy girl that prefered a book in front of parties or other teenage stuff. I'm sure my parents were relieved and my mum were wondering of who's genes I got.
