To make a difference.

Not a lot of people truly impress me, but this week I have found a new hero. There is a man who thinks that one man can make a difference. A man who thinks that you have to shoot for the moon to reach for the stars. A man who accepts being considered a pain in the ass if that leads to vital change. A man who cares, not just about the mission of the bigger picture, but about the people.

This man is a chef. And he has taken all his talent and fame from that and put to use things that he truly believes in. He has made changes in the food habits in British Schools and in Huntington, Virginia in America. He has through his restaurant program Fifteen given kids that are about to fall out of society's normal realm a chance of getting a profession and life to be proud of.

This impresses me. That way of thinking, that nothing is impossible - and if it would be impossible then only admitting that after trying hundred times to find a way to make it work, that impresses me. The way of getting the best out of the knowledge that you have, and turning yourself into a force of good. That impresses me, and inspires me.

Let's take the inspiration and look at ourselves and what we can do. It doesn't have to do with food, or being famous. We can all work in our own ways to change our world to a better place.
