La la la la la she's got the look.
Yes! We got it! We got the fucking most perfect apartment ever! It's beautiful! It's in a perfect area! It's not unreasonable expensive. And we both just love it like crazy! All want now is to hold the signed contract in my hands. Or of course. Most of all I want the key in my hand and to move there right now. But okay, one step at the time. I can do that. I just so happy about this! And the stress is fading away. Tonight we celebrate good times come on!

Breakthrough?
Finally there might be some sort of breakthrough when it comes to finding a new apartment. I mean it's quite natural to start to really stress out about it when it has happened twice that a danish person looks at you like you're insane when you tell them that you've terminated the contract on your apartment without having a new one. So with a bit more than one month left until this apartment has to be emptied, cleaned and painted it's really starting to get to me. BUT tomorrow we are looking at three different places. In general they are all really great. Two are in Østerbro and one in Nørrebro. One of them is a bit expensive, one is a bit risky cause it's out for sale the coming three months and one of them the landlord want part of the money under the table. But okay. Nothing is ever perfect. They still feel promesing. And our favourite before actually seeing them is the risky one. It's really beautiful. It's big. It's a really nice area. It has 3 (!) balconies. And the landlord sounds like a nice guy. So we'll see what happens after tomorrow. Woho! Exciting! :)
Insight.
I would say that my weird mind mainly springs from me being very stressed over finding an apartment.

Weird mind.
Today is a weird day. Or today my mind is weird. Or okay I guess my mind always is more or less weird :P but still... Had quite a busy day at work. I´have also been busy looking for an apartment at every free moment. I'm starting get really stressed about finding a place. I love living with my flatmate and I'm really happy about continuing to do so, but we don't like the same areas in our beloved Copenhagen and that narrow our choices down quite a bit. At home my room still is not in order after the party. I've started working on getting rid of all the colourful spots that at the moment cover my floor. A nice left over from the confetti used for decorating. Reminder to self. no more confetti! And I know in the back of my mind that I should get some writing on my thesis done. It's not any weird things that are going on really. Sure there's a lot going on. Maybe some extra stressful things. But still. It's just this thing in my body and in my mind. It like I feel all numb and all restless at the same time. Of course I know some reasons for my restlessness. the annoying thing connected to that is the numb part. I'm getting restless for not being active enough. And I want to be active. I just can't make myself bother. And that is frustrating. But there's also something else. Maybe it's connected to the one year day coming up. On sunday it's one year since I moved here. And my life totally changed. And the change was in every way for the better. But at this point in my life I'm again in some sort of settled in stage, with the work and also the place we live (which is why I really want us to find a really great new place). I'm starting to question my life a bit. How do I want it to be? Also some resent events has gotten me thinking that maybe I do want things that I didn't expected that I wanted. If that makes any sense at all. Maybe it's just that there's a lot of changes at this time. A move. Finding new friends (even though I've met a lot of new friends, it's still in a new stage). Starting up a new semester in Copenhagen. The way I've done twice before, but this time things are different and I also want them to be. I don't want to do the Erasumus/exchange student life anymore. I want a life more connected to just living in Copenhagen, indefinatly. And I do feel like I'm on a path of getting that. I feel like there's a lot of good things about to start up. I'm for exampel so much looking forward to starting with capoeira next week, both for the activity and the people that are starting. But there's also complications to these new things. Some maybe because of me and others because of other reasons. But really. I don't know. I have a weird feeling today and I don't know if it's beacuse of all of this or if it's just one of these days when you feel weird. I have no answer just a feeling. And I hope that it's the cold in my body that makes the feeling this passiv. I hope that I can turn it around into acitveness and use the feeling for change to the better. Honestly. Why shouldn't I? Why should I feel like this? It's stupid. I have wonderful life. I have wonderful old friends in Copenhagen and all around Europe. I have met a lot of great new people. I am smart, fun, social, active and fucking hot so there's no reason at all to why I should have the most amazing life ever. Of course not every hour of every day. But in the big picture. For sure. Just fucking amazing in Copenhagen!

Birthday party.
Saturday was finally the day of my birthday party. And I really think it's a top three of best birthdays. The unofficial list of best birthdays (without ranking within them):
- My Copenhagen birthday party 2008. Great party with great people!
- My 25-year old birthday party in Segeltorp 2006. A great outdoor party with almost all my friends and family and my parents surprise appearance.
- My something-birthday (21st?, 22nd? maybe...) spent on the beach with Jimmy, Tompa and Lina.
- Me getting totaly drunk even before the party started (okay not a great moment at all, i'm having an argument with myself about this). I partly blame Sophie for the idea of drinking rum shots.
- Eva taking loads of pictures with what she thought was my camera. It just turned out that it wasn't.
- Me getting an awesome pink rain jacket as a gift! Thank you!
- Me stealing sips of Stavros cigarets while trying to avoid Lipis seeing it.
- Dancing!
- Walking on my high heels for quite a long time. And putting them back on since someone broke a glass on my floor.
- Getting very angry on the people who drunk our hang-over Coca Cola.
- Crying. (A sign it was a great party actually)
- Eva being the coolest ever when asking me if I was okay.
- Dan being the sweetest ever being stuck with me not being okay.
- Waking up in the morning and finding a guest on the couch.
- Feeling and looking like shit the day after!
- Being happy happy happy for the great weekend with all my great friends!

Not alone.
No more lonely days or night at home. My flattie has returned! She brought food and gifts. Very good! Now have a new cute underwear set, a "quick greek for tourists"-book (now i'm going to be fluent in now time :P) and someone to tell me "now i'm tired of hearing your shit, i'm going to bed".
It's good to have you home!

Book worm.
I'm reading.
Sounds weird?? Haha yeah. Okay. I'm reading for pleasure, for fun, just enjoying it, standing-on-the-platform-waiting-for-the-train-hardly-looking-up-when-the-train-arrives-keep-my-nose-in-the-book-getting-on-the-train-reading. And it's been a long time since I read like this. I used to read all the time. I was kinda a late starter but when I did get started I really put my heart and soul in to it.
From the age of eight the library was for sure the place I visited the most. Carrying home huge piles of books. I loved walking down those isles. Considering what to choose next. In the library not all books had a front cover so I looked at the backs and the titles. What sounded interesting? Appeling? Quite soon the pile of four or five books that we usually checked out for the summer vacations were all read in one week. And with at least three weeks left to go my mum took me down to the library in the village of our summer house and signed me up there. I read everything I got my hands on. Loads of loads of Nancy Drew, the Narnia chronicles over and over, adventures, love stories and magical sagas.
In seventh grade I was a true book nerd. Me and my best friend spent every second of the breaks in school sitting next to eachother on a bench reading a book each. Of course this behavoir was not looked at in a good way by some people. There's always these guys I think. That just have to make trouble. In make case I think it really drove him crazy that I never cared. Maybe because I knew him from when he was younger and really nice. But anyway, he was a bully and I was a nerd. A nerd who didn't care about his opinion about it. The amazing adventures I experienced with my nose down my book was giving me so much joy!
When getting older the school literature takes over more and more. But after high school I got the job in a book store and it all came back. Books were basicly thrown in to my lap and I started reading again. The last years university has taken all the reading energy. But from time to time I pick up a book and just read for pleasure. Just throwing myself in to it. Bringing back that 13-year nerdy girl that prefered a book in front of parties or other teenage stuff. I'm sure my parents were relieved and my mum were wondering of who's genes I got.

Big girls dont cry. (yeah yeah i know...)
The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your home town
I need some shelter of my own protection baby
To be with myself and center, clarity
Peace, Serenity
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

My bonnie is over the sea.
I'm but a widow in port when my bonnie has left me for adventures on the seven seas. What to do? How to keep on?...
Oh well since the crazy chef actually hasn't gotten he's thumb out of his ass (as the nice expression says) and moved that ass from Stockholm to Copenhagen even once yet I'll keep managing on my own. And you deserve this adventure so much! It's going to be so amazing, I'm sure! You should be somewhere in Italy by now, maybe already on the yacht... so exciting!!! And when you'll get back I'll harass you like crazy 'til you get a Sthlm-Cph ticket!!! Just so you know...
My bonnie is over the ocean... my bonnie is over the sea :)

Min pappa är rik vill du hångla.
Again and again and again I fall completely in love with the swedish comedian Björn Gustavsson. He's brilliant in so many ways. I realise that he is more funny in swedish, but still, I want to share him with anyone who's interested so I've managed to find some clips with subtitles. Enjoy!
From Parlamenet a swedish humor tv-show:
Hate on internet
From the Swedish qualifications to the Eurovision Song Contest
Song to Carina Berg (the host of the show, Kristian Luuk's wife)
Björn gives the swedish votes in the Eurovision Song Contest

Messy girl.
I'm starting to realise that being messy is just a part of my personality. And this time I'm not just talking about my great ability of making my room look like a war zone. I seem to an expert in making decisions based on feeling instead of thought. It's not that I do things I don't want to do and the things I regret in life can be counted on one hand. But there are some choices I make that might not be the absolutely smartest ones. But I guess that's just me then.

Birthday bike.
IKEA-girl.
Everyone who knows me know that I love IKEA. It is the thing that I'm most proud of being swedish and I just love love love going to IKEA. As a swedish girl I seem to be considered the perfect company for an IKEA-trip. Or maybe it's just because I say "yeay, can I come with you?!" everytime someone mentions that they are planning to go...
Yesterday was the latest trip out to Gentofte. I was actually just company this time, I didn't need anything. But of course I ended up with a couple of things, that I feel very pleased with. It was a really nice IKEA-evening!

Living in the dark.
On sunday the lamp in my bathroom died. My bathroom has no windows. On monday I was planning to get a new one. But the sweet boys at my work were kind enough to order me one. I was going to get it yesterday. But yesterday I left really early and today I'm having the day off. Sooo... still no lamp! Still no light! And I'm stuck doing all my bathroom activities in the dark. Interesting enough for sure.

Birthday princess! / Thank you!
My birthday started kinda weird this year. It's been the worst weather I've had for my birthday for ages and ages; rain, wind and cold. That's the morning that was greeting me. I spent a few hours at work, including birthday-fika with home made kanelbulle for everyone. Then I went home to rest a bit. I was in a weird state of mind when mum came over. But later on we went in to Nyhavn, and had a glas of wine. Dad and Gustav met up with us and we had such a nice evening with dinner and the sun setting over us. Back home my email inbox was filled up with more greetings. And when I'm now sitting in my couch just realxing (after trying on my birthday party dress one more time) I feel grateful. For my family and friends and this day. It turned out to be a really great birthday after all.
Thank you Chiara, Dario, Jenny, Sabina, Tina, Dani, Ly, Eleonora, Emilie, Alicja, Sofie, Adria, Micke, Eva, Caroline, Tommie, Soraja, Hjalti, Efi, Claire, Anders, Nina, Lambrini, Olga, Marieke, Malin, Becca, Lipis, Marianne, Alf, Oscar, Jake, Nicco, Tompa, Marcus, Lina, Danny, Margareta, Tommy, Jenny, Julia, Anders, Sophie, mamma, pappa, Gustav and everyone at work. Every single one of your amazing birthdays wishes puts a smile on my face. Thank you all.

Birthday girl (soon...).
My birthday is coming up and today I bought an awesome dress for my party. Since it's actually a few days left until my birthday and a few weeks until my actual party I'd better start with admitting that I'm a big birhtday succer. Actually I love all sorts of celebrations. Any reason for joy and celebration with your loved ones is a good reason. I love my birthday! And it's not like I need a huge party that's not it at all. My 21st birthday on the beach with three of my best friends and my 25th birthday with a party for all my family and friend were both as awesome and memorable! A long with my birhtday Christmas is my favourite celebration. I love Christmas Eve! I can't explain this, I just love these kind of days. It starts with a great feeling inside from the moment you wake up and it stays all day long. So. I'm really looking forward to my birthday, and I'm also really looking forward to a great party a bit later on.
